Prosthetic Donation & Rehabilitation for Amputees

The Issue

Many low-income amputees in Sri Lanka cannot perform standard activities of daily living due to an inability to afford a prosthesis.

Our Impact

We have partnered with the Meththa Foundation, a UK-based organization making prosthetic limbs for Sri Lankan amputees.

We are donating prosthetic legs to low-income amputees, and the Meththa Foundation will manufacture the legs and work with the recipients to rehabilitate. Additionally, through one-on-one conversations both before the donation and months into rehabilitation, we are discovering each amputee’s backstory and the impact of the prosthesis on their life. We have shared these stories with the recipients’ consent.

How You Can Help

We would greatly appreciate your donation. 100% of funds received go towards purchasing prosthetics for low-income amputees.

Cost of above-knee prosthesis: $175. Cost of below-knee prosthesis: $160.
