We have donated care packages, each containing a cloth and jacket for childbirth, cloth nappies, postpartum pads, and baby soap and cream, to 10 pregnant mothers in need selected at the discretion of the matrons at Colombo South Teaching Hospital, Kalubowila.

Due to the ongoing economic crisis, many Sri Lankan hospitals are lacking basic medical supplies to care for patients. One such necessity is potassium chloride (KCl) which is used to treat low levels of potassium, an essential mineral for the function of the heart, muscles, nerves, kidneys, and digestive system. In partnership with George Steuart Health, the fastest-growing pharmaceutical importer in Sri Lanka, we have supplied 5000 units of KCl, manufactured by B. Braun Medical Industries Sdn Bhd in Malaysia.

Many low-income amputees in Sri Lanka cannot perform standard activities of daily living due to an inability to afford a prosthesis. We are donating prosthetic legs to the amputees, and the Meththa Foundation will manufacture the legs and work with the recipients to rehabilitate.

Due to limited resources, Sri Lankan society finds it challenging to accommodate the needs of the disabled. In collaboration with the DAISY Lanka Foundation, we are donating iPhones to blind and low vision candidates that would most benefit from the devices. We are also instructing the recipients on how to use the assistive softwares.
