Rajika received an iPhone in July 2018. We followed up with her to learn how our donation has affected her quality of life.

Hello everyone! My name is Rajika. I am here to thank you all and explain how useful and helpful this iPhone is for me.

Especially being low vision, when I’m outside of the house and going to work I can contact my parents and inform them of how I’m doing.

Now I will explain the apps.

The first one is Siri. Siri is an intelligent assistant that allows me to use my voice to send text messages, make phone calls, and more. I can activate “low power” mode or enable “do not disturb” mode. Siri can answer my questions, send mail, and set up alarms as well. I can get directions to places I want to go. So, Siri is very easy to use.

The second one is the Seeing AI app. I have downloaded this app and tried it out, because it’s a free app. It includes many technologies for visually impaired individuals, such as reading printed texts, documents, products, currency, labels, or packages, together in one app.

The third one is Voice Memos. This app really helped me to record whatever I need, like phone numbers, addresses, and directions.

Also, Google Maps, Nearby, WhatsApp, Zoom, and magnifying facilities are very important for me.

I really appreciate what you all gave me. It’s really helpful and useful for my daily activities and daily route. So, a very big thanks, especially for them. You are a really nice person. Thank you very much and God bless you all. Thank you.
